Dr. Reut Nachoum
Postdoctoral Fellow
Reut’s research focuses on exploring the alignment between parental and child values and how this alignment influences children’s emotional and behavioral development. She earned her Master’s in Social and Educational Psychology and completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Education at Bar-Ilan University. Her dissertation examined the influence of parents' childbearing motivations on their postpartum mental health, parenting styles, and child adjustment, providing insights into the psychological dynamics of parenthood.
In her current work at the VIDA Lab, Reut integrates concepts of emotional regulation into her investigation of parent-child value alignment, aiming to understand how these factors contribute to children’s and parents’ well-being. Alongside her postdoctoral research, Reut serves as a statistical consultant and lectures in statistics at Bar-Ilan University and Reichman University, supporting students in applying statistical methods to educational and psychological research.
Reut is married to Maor and is a mother of three. She finds joy in playing the piano, reading on weekends, and singing in a choir.
