
Atheer Massarwe
Postdoctoral Fellow
Atheer Massarwe is a postdoctoral fellow at the VIDA Lab, where she investigates how prosocial behavior influences self-transcendence values. She completed her MA and PhD in the Department of Special Education at the University of Haifa. Her doctoral research focused on the benefits of extrinsic emotion regulation for both individuals with depression and those without, and explored the strategies people use to help others regulate their emotions. Currently, Atheer serves as a chairwoman in the Ministry of Education and is set to embark on new roles as a pedagogical guide and lecturer. Despite her busy professional life, Atheer is a loving mother who cherishes and values spending quality time with her family. She is also a lover of both animals and plants. Traveling, reading books, and writing bring joy to Atheer.
